Ranch School

Ranch School is an educational program for kids ages 6-16, that provides equine supported experiential learning (EFL) in a group setting, emphasizing life skills via ranch skills. We maintain the core values of reciprocal equine-human partnerships, contributing to a community and putting the joy back into learning. We believe that life on the ranch can be a model for how to live in a more grounded, authentic and connected way and that the relational skills learned with equines can be applied to all relationships.
In Ranch School students will work with each other and equine partners to learn about:
-
Herd formation; community, stewardship
-
Awareness; safety on the ranch and around equines
-
Communication; equine behavior, identifying breed, color, markings
-
Setting healthy boundaries; physically, mentally
-
Equine care; grooming, nutrition, medical, environment
-
Equine exercise for well-being; longeing
-
Overcoming obstacles; leading an equine through an obstacle course
-
And more...
