Equines are a mirror to our souls

 

Horsemanship and yoga are both ancient holistic practices.  Yoga is an inner journey, set at your own pace and within the scope of your abilities, toward well-being. The essential elements of yoga are the union of the body, mind and soul:

  • Body- through which we experience the world physically.

  • Mind- responsible for our intellectual perceptions.

  • Soul- the unseen part of us that seeks inner-balance and peace in our​ lives.

 

In our yoga on horseback classes* we will be practicing Hatha Yoga. Hatha (Ha-ta) is a Sanskrit word that means- to bring a balanced unity of the polarities within us. Yoga is holistic in nature because it addresses your entire being comprised of the body, mind and soul.

Equines possess the following qualities that allow them be incredible mentors and partners in your yoga journey:

  • Equines innately possess body-mind-soul awareness.

  • Equines are sentient creatures who communicate primarily through energy and body language.

  • Equines naturally gravitate toward a state of homeostasis- balance of the central nervous system.

  • Equines only know how to live in the present moment.

  • Equines are honest and do not judge.

  • Equines are willing to create a symbiotic relationship with you.

Details

  • We offer 60-minute group (2-4 participants) mounted* yoga lessons that are designed for achieving well-being.

  • All lessons are scheduled in yearly calendar sessions, ranging from 4-8 weeks.

  • All participants are required to register for an entire calendar session and full payment is due at time of registration.  

  • Once registered, the participant will remain in the program until a request for discontinuance has been submitted.

Cost

  • 60 minute group lesson- $70 per person x number of session weeks.
